Letter from the Principal

Brandon Wojcik

Hello North Collins families!

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer and are recharged and ready to start a new school year. As we ramp up for the start of school, I am looking forward to seeing everyone again on the first day of school which will be Tuesday, September 6. I welcome and value everyone’s positive energy and dedication to our mission and culture, and I look forward to working with you and your children.

All signs point to another incredible and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted staff is already planning and preparing for their first encounters with students. Our amazing office staff are registering new families, ordering needed materials, and updating student files. Our hard working custodial staff have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning the building and getting it ready for the long-awaited sounds of laughter and enthusiasm that’s been missing since the kids left.

Each year brings positive change. This includes a few additions to our staff and some location changes for existing staff. We are delighted to welcome Miss Morgan Vullo, our new Math teacher and Mr. Julian Bermingham in the science department. We are also sad to report the retirement of Mrs. Katie McCabe.  We appreciate the many years of service to our students and wish her well on her new adventure. But we are excited to welcome our newest FACS teacher Ms. Julie Mayer, who comes to us with a great deal of educational and private sector experience. We are also pleased that our special education teacher Mr. Michael Krauza, will be assuming the role of our Global Studies teacher. Be sure to look for more information on our newest teachers on our social media outlets.

Our district is committed to ensuring that each and every student has the meals they need to succeed in school. As of today, breakfast and lunches for the 22-23 school year will NOT be free for all students.  Free and Reduced Lunch Family Applications are available on our website and available at the Main Office or the District’s Business Office. Families are strongly encouraged to complete the application form if you believe you will qualify.  The cafeterias will still remain cashless.  Meals may be prepaid by week or month by visiting www.MySchoolBucks.com.

Thank you to all who are helping prepare for the new school year. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. It remains an honor and privilege to serve as your principal.  Please stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children.

 Respectfully submitted,

Brandon Wojcik, Principal
